In the shadow I have fallen
I am wet with tears
Bogged down by the weight of my loneliness
I shout, but nothing quakes
Through only my waning whispers is something let out
"Do you hear me, Lord? Do you see that I have fallen?
How could you have let me fall into dark shadow?"
A radiant light began to shine through the cracks of shadow
And it spoke in a voice both so powerful and gentle
He spoke, "I have not cast you into dark shadow.
It is you who does not see. Open your eyes and see, my child,
that I have led you to be under the shadow of my wings."
A warmth rushed through and engulfed me
I not only saw, but I understood
